With more than five years of experience in various organizations, Kusum K.C. is a dedicated Public Health Professional with an immense passion for project management and grassroots engagement. Her professional experience in Nepal’s most impoverished areas, such as Jajarkot and Bajhang, has given her a comprehension of the community’s common situations that will help her design various projects.

Research and baseline surveys that aid in determining community needs are other activities that Kusum adores practising. Aside from that, she is an ambivert who finds peace in nature and the spiritual world.

Dr. Samundra Gurung is a medical doctor, artist, and founder of Queering Medicine with a mission to advocate for LGBTQ+ health and challenge systemic insensitivities in healthcare. Blending his medical knowledge and artistic insights, Dr. Gurung strives to make healthcare inclusive and accessible. Through Project Pahichan, he focuses on addressing the unique health challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals, creating safe, compassionate spaces, and promoting education to overcome bias and stigma. His vision is a healthcare system that honors diversity, respects dignity, and ensures equitable care for all.

Dr. Rosy Shah is a Medical Doctor and House Officer with a strong commitment to addressing social issues that influence healthcare dynamics, particularly in the realm of sexuality education. An avid reader and writer, she is dedicated to enhancing understanding and fostering informed discussions around critical health topics. 

Project Pahichan resonates with her personal goals of improving her healthcare practice by educating herself on LGBTQIA+ concepts and healthcare needs.

Sanjaya Shrestha is a dedicated young professional from Rishing Rural Municipality in Tanahun District, combining his passion for veterinary science with community service. For the past five years, Sanjaya has worked in the field of journalism in the Tanahun district of Gandaki Province, using platforms like radio and newspapers to inform and engage his community. 

He also contributes as a veterinary technician in the office of Rishing Rural Municipality and teaches veterinary science at Shiva Saraswati Secondary School.

Pooja Shrestha is a final-year Chartered Accountancy student who skillfully balances her academic pursuits with her roles as the Vice-President of ANSWER Nepal and an executive committee member of the Nepal Chartered Accountant Students’ Association.   Previously, she held the position of President at the ANSWER Alumni Association, advocating for SEE graduates supported by ANSWER Nepal. 

In her leisure time, Pooja enjoys reading, dancing, networking, and anchoring events.

Romin Neupane is a Python developer, lecturer, and Associate Data Scientist with a passion for technology and making a positive impact on the world. Outside of his professional pursuits, he is dedicated to long-distance endurance sports, having run a full marathon and numerous half marathons, even after recovering from a severe femur bone fracture.

Romin also dreams of one day traveling to outer space, viewing it as an opportunity to contribute to humanity’s progress.

Sabiya Shah, a resilient and innovative leader in Women in Tech, brings over a decade of experience in MarTech and Digital Communications. She serves as General Manager at Infinity Group of Companies, overseeing Branding, Digital Communications, Marketing, and Technology. Her background in Development Studies adds a sustainable, impact-focused lens to her work. 

Having worked across 25+ industries worldwide, Sabiya has seen the transformative impact that Technology and Digital Solutions bring to diverse sectors, underscoring the essential need for literacy in these areas. This experience drives her commitment to grassroots social change, where she applies her leadership and innovative skills in Technology and Communications.

Rita Puri is a Public Health graduate with over three years of dedicated experience in SRHR, especially in educating young people. She is also passionate about digital content creation, using her platform to share accurate information and write insightful blogs. Her dedication to SRHR for young people has earned her global recognition, including the prestigious ICFP Youth Trailblazer Award.

Her time in rural communities has been transformative, revealing both the privileges she holds and the critical need for grassroots-level efforts to ensure everyone can exercise their rights and freedoms fully.

Arju Palikhey is a Dietetics Graduate with a strong interest in research, evidence-based nutrition, and sustainable food systems. Her experience spans volunteering with Feed the Future Food Systems for Nutrition Innovation Lab and World Food Forum, along with internships at Baliyo Nepal and TU Teaching Hospital. 

She has also contributed extensively as a writer for Makise Lifeup USA, focusing on nutrition science and preventive health strategies.
